Designated Employer Representative Training

This training is for employees authorized by the employer to take immediate action(s) to remove employees from safety-sensitive duties, cause employees to be removed from these covered duties, or make required decisions in the testing and evaluation processes.

The Designated Employer Representative (DER) Training is designed to provide DERs with knowledge of the drug and alcohol testing industry and the supervisory skills required to maintain compliance with both federally regulated U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements as well as non-regulated policies.

Reasonable Suspicion/ Supervisory Training

The training qualifies supervisors to make the Reasonable Suspicion or Cause testing determination. The supervisor will be trained in best practices for compliance with all modes regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and with drug and alcohol screening policies of non-regulated companies in the private sector and across multiple industries.

Drug Free Workplace Program

Implementing a drug-free workplace is important for employers due to several reasons: enhanced safety, increased productivity, improved health and wellbeing, reduced employee/human resource turnover, compliance with legal requirements, industry regulations, and enhanced company reputation.

A drug-free workplace program should contain an educational component that informs employees on the health and safety risks substance use imposes on all employees. Employers should also point out to employees the costs drug/substance use has on the company’s bottom line, productivity, and increased healthcare costs.

We can help you create or revise a drug free workplace policy, train supervisors and employees regarding the importance of the policy and compliance.
