HourGlass® Testing Solutions (HTS) was forged from a personal story – the tragic impact of being under the influence in the workplace. Our goal is to create a drug-free, safe working environment that benefits employers and employees alike. HTS started in 2013, with onsite services and opened collection site location in Grand Rapids in 2021.

With over 35 years in the drug testing industry, Andrea Owens, the heart and soul of HourGlass® Testing Solutions (HTS), is more than just an expert; she’s a passionate advocate for drug-free workplaces. Her motivation? A deeply personal experience — watching a loved one endure years of pain from an injury caused by someone under the influence.

Proudly certified as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) through WBENC, her expertise is multifaceted. Andrea is a Certified Professional Collector Trainer (CPCT) and a Certified Breath Alcohol Technician Trainer, ensuring best practices are always at the forefront.

Her dedication to ethical business is evident, earning the 2021 BBB Torch Award for Ethics and maintaining a shining BBB Accredited A+ rating. As an active member of NDASA, Andrea is deeply involved in the training and certification committee, employer rights committee, and serves as a State Affiliate, advocating for the highest standards in the industry.

Her commitment to diversified services led her to partner with IdentoGo by Idemia, making fingerprinting services accessible to her clientele.
